Behind the baseline

Three local lads. One iconic Christchurch space.

The new benchmark for indoor pickleball and padel in New Zealand. A genuine community epicentre for the city's racquet scene, and a bucket‑list stop for anyone visiting the mainland.

Our philosophy is simple. Play and stay.

This is a space where the atmosphere is as crisp as your volleys, the banter is real, and the community is unmatched.

Lock in a session on championship-grade courts, then relax and enjoy some tasty kai, local brews and a great off-court vibe. Sport brings people together. We've just reset the stage.

The Shed
The industrial interior of The Shed

From 1880s grain store to Christchurch cultural icon. This building has always had soul.

Long before it was Clarence Street South, it was Pigeon Lane, and this place was a humble grain shed. Fast forward to 2011 and the earthquakes forced The Court Theatre out of the Arts Centre. They saw the raw potential in these old bones, raised $6 million, and built The Shed, an anchor project that sparked the urban renewal of Addington.

For over a decade it was the city's deeply loved performing arts hub. In 2025 The Court Theatre took their final bow and moved into the central city, leaving the keys to a legendary space behind.

We're keeping the name, keeping the spirit, but completely rewriting the script. Welcome back to The Shed, reimagined as Christchurch's ultimate centre for indoor pickleball and padel. The stage is set. Now it's your turn to play.
